THIS IS FOR THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
TROPICAL DEPRESSION ELEVEN FORECAST TO DISSIPATE WITHIN 24 HOURS
AT 5 PM ECT OR 2100 UTC, THE CENTRE OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ELEVEN WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 13.6 NORTH, LONGITUDE 53.9 WEST OR ABOUT 570 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS (640 MILES ESE OF ST. KITTS & NEVIS) AND ABOUT 780 MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS.
TROPICAL DEPRESSION ELEVEN IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST AT 3 MPH. AN INCREASE IN THE FORWARD SPEED TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN TONIGHT.
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. THE DEPRESSION IS EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE TONIGHT OR SUNDAY. HOWEVER, THE REMNANTS OF THE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED ON MONDAY.
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1008 MB OR 29.77 INCHES.
TROPICAL DEPRESSION ELEVEN IS, AT MOST, A MINOR THREAT TO THE ISLANDS. NO HAZARDS ARE ANTICIPATED OTHER THAT PERHAPS THUNDERSTORMS. POSSIBLE RAINFALL TOTAL FROM THE SYSTEM IS UP TO 13 MM OR HALF INCH.
ALL RESIDENTS ARE ASKED TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ELEVEN.
