April 24, 2017  ·  ajt

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The month of April sees a continuation in the Nevis Disaster Management Department and the Department of Education’s 12-Month School-based Natural Hazards Campaign.

During this month the focus shifts to volcanic eruptions and their possible effects. the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School and its students are the focal point for dissemination of information regarding volcanic eruptions. Through print, audio, video, hands-on and mini-expo, they will share all the pertinent information needed to ensure you are prepared for any such event.

Our island of Nevis presents a unique challenge and so we must be made aware of our Befores, Durings and Afters of a volcano occurrence.

Our website, social media links and the local tv station will showcase the creative activities of the students.
