Head Teacher of Ivor Walters Primary School on Hurricane Awareness

June 8, 2017  ·  ajt

The Nevis Disaster Management and the department of Education Multi hazard campaign is at its half way point. As we are in the month of June, our focus would be on hurricanes, which coincides with the start of the North Atlantic Hurricane season. It commences from June 1st to November 30th each year.

Our partners and source of information is the Ivor Walters Primary School. Students in the school will provide key and life serving information via electronic print and audio-visual media. They are to share with you the (BDA’s) of a Hurricane.

We encourage you to consider the information, and even share it as we work together to save lives.
Remember hurricanes can be deadly.

Be informed and be prepared!
