Adverse weather resulted in severe flooding in Trinidad & Tobago – Situation Report 2

The Situation

As at 1030hrs on October 23, 2018, a Riverine Flood Alert #3 was issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service. Alert #3 indicated that the level was de-escalated from Red to Orange. Currently river levels are decreasing. However, additional rainfall is still expected over the next several days. As at 1000hrs on October 23, 2018 an Adverse Weather Alert #4 was issued. The Alert indicated that the Level was de-escalated from Orange to Yellow. This means that localized convective activity with upper level enhancement would be expected in few areas.
