CCRIF SPC Annual Report 2021-2022 and 3 spoken word video performances

CCRIF is pleased to present its Annual Report 2021/2022. The annual report describes CCRIF’s activities and accomplishments during policy year 2021/22 as well as their contribution to its seven strategic objectives. The report presents their new Vision as they move toward 2025 and beyond:

A leading global development insurer, providing disaster risk financing products and services to member countries to improve lives and livelihoods, building resilience and advancing sustainable development agendas.

View their recent whiteboard video, “The Work and Impact of CCRIF in the Caribbean and Central America”, to better understand what they do and parametric insurance in general.

Also, CCRIF has begun using the spoken word / poetry performances to enhance understanding of hazard risks and their impacts on people and communities. In 2022, three pieces were commissioned by CCRIF and created and performed by Cyndi Celeste, an award-winning Barbadian poet.

My Name is Risk: Highlights the diverse risks that countries face and how we can collectively address these risks – performed at the Caribbean Regional Risk Conference, held in April 2022

Bespoke: Examines the impact of natural disasters on the poor and most vulnerable in society and the role that climate risk insurance can play in helping to support these persons as well as their livelihoods – performed at the 18th International Conference on Inclusive Insurance, held in Kingston Jamaica in October 2022

Let us Listen: Speaks to the natural hazards common to countries in the Caribbean, while recognizing different impacts among them – performed at the Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management and Financial Resilience Workshop for Overseas Countries and Territories in the Caribbean, held in Aruba in November 2022
