A knowledge-packed Panel Discussion on earthquake held last night (29th January) at The Taylor Memorial’s Wesleyan Holiness, Nevis. Discussions focused on Earthquake Awareness, Standard Building Practises to withstand the shaking of the earth, Incident Command System, Search & Rescue, Earthquake’s impact on Agriculture and FAITH-Based Disaster Plan.
The facilitators for this event were: Superintended Lyndon David; Michelle McGrath (Civil Engineer – Public Works Department); Kenisha Lewis (Teacher – Charlestown Secondary School); Randy Elliot (Director – Department of Agriculture); and Brian Dyer (Director – Nevis Disaster Management Department). The discussion was moderated by Jacob Ngumbah, Senior Communications Officer – Nevis Disaster Management Department).
